“Artificial Stone” as the term underlines the idea that the human being creating this substance for the construction was clearly imitaited the Nature. In fact, as the result of the wind’s exposure from basic rocks appearing the grainy rocks, which aftewards or following the procces of the sediment in the rivers were validated together to the beton with the help of lime-water or cilicic acid. Geologists prefer to call that ‘naturally born rocks’ as ‘strenghened precipitations ’. Also well known are such rocks as breccias, conglomerates, and mixed conglomerates from vulcanic and precipitatic rocks.
From the beton which is used in constructions and buildings it is usually expected concrete physical and even sometimes chemical qualities. In most number of cases the refferent quality is durability, Beton has become famous as the progressive construction material due to the competitive mechanical characteristics – longevity, refractoriness, its easiest adaptive ability to every format etc. But at the same time it has own weak sides such as permeability first of all. This weakness is mostly dangerous in the cases when the construction is being exposed by direct heads of waters and the level of the waters constantly changes. The explanation of that quality of the beton lies in the coplicated structural character of the substance which depends on several factors. However, the accumulated experience could play a role of the background for developing and evaluating the measures directed on increasing the waterproof qualities of the beton constructions.
